Find Your Ideal Remodeler
There are so many remodelers out there, how can you possibly find one who’s ideal for your project?
It’s pretty easy to understand that you should never hire scoundrels and cheats.
Believe it or not, ruling out rotten apples is not rocket science.
However, you’re not simply choosing between bad and good when you select remodelers to interview and hire.
You need to split hairs and decide between good and great.
Because you can’t hire the very best
if you don’t interview the very best.
So, how do you find one or more remodelers that are ideal for your project?
Especially when each homeowner has a different budget and different needs. A successful project result for one person, may not be as successful for another person (like you!).
So the best remodeler for one family’s renovation is probably not the best for the next family, or for a different type of project.
So never choose your remodeler based only on who your friend or neighbor used.
In remodeling, "one size fits all" just isn't true!
So, start by clearly identifying your main needs and goals for the project.
Then, as you interview remodelers, weigh your project needs & goals against the different remodeler’s strengths and specialties to help determine the “best” fit professionals for your situation.
There are four basic things to look for in a top-quality remodeler:
- They need to be experts (do a ton of the very same job type you need).
- They should have a long list of happy clients. (Ask for references, then verify!)
- They need more than 6 years of experience (they’ve reached financial stability).
- Finally, they must be licensed or registered (in most jurisdictions).
The very best remodelers will also “connect” with you and with your project. They will show enthusiasm for what you’re trying to accomplish, and they will appreciate how the project will improve your life when it’s complete.
That is when you have found someone you can partner with to achieve a dream result.
